Good afternoon,
I want to let you know that we have been closely following the recent outbreak of cryptosporidium that has impacted other local pools . We have been in contact with the local health departments for guidance. Health departments in the recent past have preemptively shut down all pools and required super-chlorination for previous recreational water illness outbreaks. They are currently advising that this will be an unlikely measure.
Nevertheless, we have secured additional supplies (ie: calcium hypochlorite, sodium thiosulfate, tc.) so we can respond quickly if there does happen to be a confirmed case of Crypto at one of our pools. It is important to note that Crypto cannot be prevented, or treated, while maintaining good standing with health code guidelines. It can only be eliminated by super-chlorinating your pool, which relies on chlorine levels more than 4x higher than what health code allows (and would require temporary facility closure). Pool users are recommended and reminded to practice good hygiene before entering the water and to stay out of pools for two weeks if they experience any symptoms.
As school starts back up again we are adjusting our hours as we always do. Adult nights are done for the season, so the pool is open to families on Thursday nights again.
Here are the adjusted Pool hours:
4-8 Mon-Thurs
4-9 on Friday
12-8 on Saturday and Sunday (and Memorial Day)

Welcome Swimmers and Swimmer Families to the 2021 CHSC Dolphins Season!
The Southern Ohio Swim League (SOSL) is a go! The league has met and decided on 6 dual meets with no championships this year. The meets will be held on Tuesday evening starting June 15th. The league schedule will be released shortly! Not to fret (and not to give anything away) but we have a special event in store in lieu of championships.
Now onto the logistical part of the team…lot of info coming your way!
This year we will once again be lead by head coach Scott Fortier with Assistance Coaches Esme Wright and Grace Sublett! We are very excited to have all our coaches rejoining the Dolphins for the 2021 Season!
We will once again be asking for parent volunteers this summer, these swim meets don’t run themselves! ???? You can email me at [email protected] if you are interested and I’ll ensure to get you in contact with our volunteer coordinator Susie Mac!
We look forward to the 2021 Dolphins Season and look forward to meeting you all on May 16th!
