Welcome!
The swim team at Clinton Hills is
a great way for kids to be active, develop skills and make friends.

All club members, ages 6 to 18 are eligible to participate. The fun of summer club swimming can lead to year-round involvement in the sport, but for most, it's just a positive, healthy way to spend the summer.

Parents are asked to fill a number of volunteer positions that are essential to running the team. It's fun for the whole family!

Regular morning practices start on date to come with ages 11 and up in the pool from 8:00am -9:30am; ages 10 and under swim 9:30am -10:30am.
To build skill and endurance, please attend
         as many practices as possible!

Please Note: Most team communication is conducted
by email. If you would like more information or have questions, contact to come, the team coordinator,
at clintonhillsdolphins@gmail.com.

  All About Meets!

Our team is part of the Southern Ohio Swim League (SOSL). We compete in the "A" division with Milford, Mariemont, Coney, and Phillips.

Meets are held on either "at home" or "away" on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings, and they usually last about four hours.

Please Note: Parent participation is crucial to the success of the swim team. Scroll down to see parent responsibilities.

Home Meets!
Clinton Hills hosts several home meets each year.

Home Meet Schedule:

The Meet Lineup:

available for sale.

Swim Meet Concessions:
Each family is asked to provide a baked good
or other snack
(can be store-bought) for sale at the concessions. Suggestions are cupcakes, brownies, Rice Krispie treats, or individual portions of cut fruit or pasta salad.

The "After-Party":
When the meet is over, Clinton Hills swimmers are served hot dogs and chips at the concession stand.

The "After-Party":
When the meet is over, Clinton Hills swimmers are invited to gather at a restaurant like LaRosa's or Skyline. A parent volunteer calls ahead to let the restaurant know, and may collect money to place an advance order from families who choose participate..

For both home and away meets, team parents fill many important jobs that make the meet happen (for more details, see the link to the swim team handbook above).
—Each family is asked to work 3 shifts during the regular season and one shift during championships.
—Parents are expected to supervise their children at all meets. The clerk of course volunteers and parent helpers assist the 8 & unders to the start for their events, but neither they nor the coaches are babysitters.

    Clinton Hills Dolphins' Coaches

Head Coach
Michael Conway eagerly steps up to assume the Head Coach position in 2011 after serving as an assistant last year. He is a Clinton Hills veteran, having swum on the team from ages 9 to 18 and been on the guard staff for four summers. As a coach, Michael brings as individualized an approach as possible to his role, in the belief that all swimmers have different needs and goals. He also has high aspirations for the team. Michael first swam competitively at Mercy Montessori when he was six. A 2010 graduate of St. Xavier High School, he was a four-year member of the swim team there and served as co-captain his senior year. He also swam six years for various club teams. Michael attends Loyola University in Chicago where he is majoring in history.

Assistant Coach
Steven Boyle joins the Dolphins’ coaching staff as an assistant in 2011, but he is a familiar face to many. For the past three seasons, he’s been on the guard staff and served as a much-loved swim lesson instructor. In addition, he swam for the Dolphins from ages 12 to 18. Along with his energetic manner, he brings extensive swimming experience, having begun competitive swimming at age five at Mercy Montessori. He swam at Mariemont Aquatic Club for three years in late grade school, and on the St. Xavier High School team for two years. He is also an accomplished rower. A 2010 graduate of St. Xavier, he is studying engineering at Columbia University and rowing for their varsity lightweight crew team.

Assistant Coach
Wyatt Landers is excited to be a new assistant for the Dolphins this summer, his first foray into coaching. A native of Clifton, he swam for Clifton Meadows and later for the Cincinnati Marlins and Powel Crosley YMCA. He is a four-year member of the St. Xavier High School swim team, graduating in 2011, and was elected co-captain this past season. At St. Xavier, he was also a member of the Core Leadership Team, Student Council, National Honor Society, and served as Backside Editor of the school newspaper, the "Blueprint," as well as a site coordinator for housing rehab community service projects.
